I think it is too bad in this world when we are too consumed with what we are doing to be grateful.
Often we do not take the time to be grateful for what we have until it is gone.
We may miss time with friends or family. We miss out on taking advantages of opportunities when they are right before us. I live in a rather warm climate and I regret not taking better care of my HVAC system. It broke down a little bit ago. I took advantage of the system. The HVAC technician told me that I needed to take care of it while I had it. It was something that the filters needed to be changed once a month. Tunes ups I needed to receive at least once if not twice a year. I thought that was just some scam to try to get me to spend more money. This way they could make more money. While this could be true, I never did any of those things. I just let my system breakdown. Now, I am without a system for a few days. The HVAC technician cannot make it to my house right away. The heat is really strong during the day. I make sure to drink a lot of water and I have a large box fan going in my home. It is hard for my animals to stay cool. Living without the air conditioning system is very hard. I wish I would not have taken it for granted. I wish I had only received the tune us or changed the filters. Then, I do not think I would be in this position right now.
